Following the league games, the top two teams will compete in the first qualifier, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will contend in the eliminator.

The victor of the first qualifier secures a spot in the final, while the defeated team will confront the winner of the eliminator in the second qualifier. The winner of this match will then become the second finalist.

IPL 2024 Prize Money

While the organizers have yet to confirm the prize money for this year’s IPL, historical data suggests that the purse for this season is expected to be around $6 million.

Based on past trends, the champions of the 2024 IPL could potentially earn approximately $2.4 million, with the runners-up receiving an estimated $1.56 million.

Most Expensive Player of IPL 2024

Mitchell Starc of Australia emerged as the priciest signing in IPL history during the 2024 auction held in December, surpassing his teammate Pat Cummins. Starc, absent from the IPL for the past eight years, was snapped up by the Kolkata Knight Riders for a gigantic $2.98 million, eclipsing the sum paid by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Cummins, who fetched $2.46 million.

Before this auction, the record for the highest signing amount was held by England bowler Sam Curran, who joined the Punjab Kings for $2.23 million last year.
